The One Thing Holding You Back
We all have an idea of how success looks in our lives and how we want to achieve it. Sometimes it can feel like that success is far away or impossible to achieve. It’s only impossible if you don’t attempt to try. There is truly only one person holding you back from having it all: yourself. We have to remember that if we don’t believe in ourselves, who will? In our lives, there will always be someone who doesn’t hold the same vision we do or understand how we will achieve our dreams. That’s why we must be that person for ourselves—the one who pushes us to greatness.
The Power of Self-Belief
I know you’ve heard the saying, “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve,” by Napoleon Hill. Positive thinking and self-belief are vital to success and growth. Self-belief refers to one’s confidence in their ability to achieve their goals and tackle challenges. It’s the foundation that keeps us moving forward, even when the road ahead seems daunting.
A Simple Morning Practice That Changes Everything
Recently, I’ve started a new practice inspired by The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. When I wake up, I say, “I believe” three times, and it sets the tone for my day. This simple act isn’t just about positive thinking; it’s a declaration—a promise to myself that I will face whatever comes with strength and faith. I love how Peale emphasizes the importance of giving your worries to God. Don’t focus on the obstacles because, with God on your side, you can get through anything.
Let Go of Fear and Embrace Faith
We must believe in the positive thoughts we hold and actively stay away from fear and worry. Give your fears to God and remind yourself that you are not alone. You deserve to be a winner, and sometimes, the biggest battle is learning to silence the doubts in your own mind. Fear and worry are like thieves—they steal your joy, your energy, and your focus. But you don’t have to carry those burdens. Faith has a way of filling the gaps when you feel weak or uncertain.
Flipping the Script on Success
Success often feels out of reach because we focus too much on the obstacles in front of us instead of the strength within us. But what if we flipped the script? What if we stopped asking, “What if I fail?” and started asking, “What if I succeed?” Fear doesn’t have the final say—your belief does.
Be Your Own Biggest Advocate
No one can fight for your dreams like you can. Yes, there will be naysayers, doubters, and even days when you question yourself. But those moments don’t define you. What defines you is how you rise, how you keep going, and how you refuse to give up. You are your greatest advocate, your strongest supporter, and your biggest motivator.
Claim Your Success
So here’s my challenge to you: Start your day with belief. Whether it’s repeating affirmations, saying a prayer, or just taking a moment to remind yourself of your strength, do it. Speak life into your dreams and know that the power to achieve them is already within you. You’re not just a dreamer—you’re a doer, a fighter, and a winner.
You’ve got this. Now go claim your success.
